2 Nikon D3100′s

Yesterday I posted about how the bank incident ruined an amazing start to my day. I never really explained why the day started out amazing so now I shall.

On December 28th 2010 at 10:02 am I submitted the following photo to CHCH Nikon Christmas Photo Contest.

The prizes ranged from a Nikon D3100, Nikon D90 and Nikon D7000. On the morning of December 29th 2010 I received a phone call letting me know I had won the Nikon D3100.

Today my father and I drove to the CHCH Station where myself and the winner of the D7000 answered the following mathematical skill testing question [(5x8)0 4]+9-3 to receive the prize. My answer was 50 and I have a feeling that it’s wrong. My reasoning behind this is notice how between the exponent 0 and the 4 there is a space; well I originally thought the space meant multiply therefore I completed the equation that way. The lady that was claiming the D7000 asked what the 0 meant and asked why there was a space. The reception lady then informed us both to add a plus sign between the 0 and the 4. The lady still did not understand what the 0 meant so we were told to ignore it. She was a lot older and I shed a small tear when I watched that lovely D7000 leave with her.

So, I am now the proud owner of 2 Nikon D3100, 2 Nikkor 18-55 VR Lens plus 1 Nikkor 55-200 VR Lens. Don’t believe be – well I don’t really care.

I plan to sell the Camera that I won obviously with the lens and use the money to get myself a flash that I have been lusting over.
