Europe Itinerary + Budget

I’ve been asked a few times from the lovely Leanne to write about what my Europe Budget is.
I hope that this post does not disappoint but this is all that I have so far.

Places to Visit

While in London I plan to visit: (all prices shown are for single person)
Tower Bridge – £8.00 – £17.00
Westminster Abby – £16.00
The London Eye – £17.50 -£18.60
Trafalgar Square
Windsor Castle, Leeds Castle, Stonehenge – not sure if I’m doing a tour or individually

While in Paris I plan to visit:
Notre Dame Cathedral – €8
Arc De Tiromple – €9
Eiffel Tower – €8.20 – €13.40

Trip Itinerary

Friday July 15th – Leave Canada @ 11:55pm
Saturday July 16th – Arrive in London @ 12:00pm (7:00am home time)
Info Meeting and welcome drink in the evening

Sunday July 17th – Sight Seeing Tour; includes changing of the guards @ Buckingham Palace.

Monday July 18th
7:30pm Phantom of the Opera — $137.75 for 2 tickets
Her Majesty’s Theatre
Seat location: AMAZING!

Tuesday July 19th – Tour with my friend Damien. Not 100% sure what I will be seeing. I’m still trying to figure this all out.

Wednesday July 20th – 2 ½ hr rail journey in the afternoon to Paris via St Pancras Station on the Eurostar Train through the Channel Tunnel.
Orientation tour upon arrival seeing all the main sights.

Thursday July 21st / Friday July 22nd
Not sure which evening but mom and I may be attending Nouvelle Eve – Dinner with wine included at one of the most prestigious cabarets in town – €125

Saturday July 23rd – Leave Paris @ 2:10pm // Arrive Home @ 4:35pm

As you can see, most of the days are not planned. That’s because I’m still in the process of trying to figure out what I want to do and why the prices differ. Certain thing’s depend on the weather as well.

Money, Money, Money

To break it all down, money wise I’m paying:
Trip – $2,287.79 (already paid for)
Phantom of the Opera – $69 (already paid for)
Nouvelle Eve – €125 (not included in total)
Daily Spending – $250 @ 14 days = $2,500
Total = $5,787.79 and I have budgeted $6,000. If you look over to the right at my little travel budget money bar you will notice that my trip is basically full funded! AMAZING!!! I’m so proud of myself.

  2. That’ll be a great trip! I’ve been to Paris 4 times, going again in October. Never been to England though… the Eurostar will be neat to take!

Notre Dame is free if you just want to go in the church, not up to the top.

I strongly recommend a cruise on the Seine, at night. It’s about an hour long, around 11 Euros, but definitely worth it! You see all the main sites and it’s so nice to be out on the water…

    Have fun!!
