This past weekend two families came together to form a new family.

My uncle married a wonderful, beautiful women. A women whom I have been lucky enough to be able to know on a more personal level then most of my family, due to living with her all of last summer.
The wedding celebration started on Friday with the guys going fishing and the girls going to crock a doodle. I ended up painting a cupcake plate and my mom painted a cupcake container, which she said I could have.

Afterwards everyone came back to my place and my family hosted a meet the family BBQ. Reason we did this was because my aunts family is from Alberta and my uncles family is from Ontario. This was the first time many of us were able to meet each other. There was about 40 or so people here all together and ended up cooking up the fish that the guys caught. We had a fire, roasted marshmallows and danced the night away.
Saturday morning I went to get my hair cut. I didn’t end up getting bangs like I was originally thinking, because I was worried about not liking them and then being in wedding photos. I ended up just trimming my hair.
The wedding was that evening and thankful the rain that started at 4pm stopped at 6pm, just in time for the wedding ceremony to take place, which was beautiful I might add.
After the ceremony I took a ton of family group photos, as well as a few photos of just the bride and groom. The reception was wonderful, the food was decent and from what I could tell everyone had a great time.
Like always my family partied it up till we were basically told to pack it up and get out. Then we went to my aunt and uncles hotel for the after party. I think I made it into bed around 3am Sunday morning. Thankful I was able to sleep in till 10am.
I didn’t have to be at my grandmothers till later in the afternoon on Sunday, so I wasn’t worried about needing to rush. Lunch was catered, so clean up was a breeze. Afterwards my aunt and uncle said a little thank you speech and handed out some thank you presents. I scored a digital photo frame and cant wait to load it with photos.

So all in all it’s been a great weekend with family.

I was the photographer. Obviously other people had cameras, but I took all the family photos with the bride and groom.
Sounds like a great weekend! I love the first picture! Were you the photographer?
