Where Have I Been?

Things have been so busy this last week and I’m pretty sure that it’s going to stay that way for a while. I haven’t had much time to spend on the computer because there have been appointments and other things that just get in the way. I’m in the process of looking for a part time job, this way come sometime I’ll have something to rely on since Employment Insurance isn’t all that well paying.

The most recent news with me is that my car broke down and is currently taken apart waiting to be put back together. Talk about horrible timing, but thankfully my brother is able to fix it for me. It’s just a matter of when that will be. Apparently it’s a long process and he only has the evenings after work to do it. I totally owe him my life for this.
My mom and I have had to share her car during this ordeal, so that’s been interesting to say the least. I go to bed earlier, since I have to get up earlier to drive her to work, so another reason why I can’t be bothered to come online. There’s not enough hours in the day after I get home from work.

I wish I could say that I’ve been packing to get ready for my move, but I haven’t. I don’t really have much to pack up and the weekend prior to my house closing should be more then enough time for me to pack up. Plus I’m not 100% sure when I will be officially in the house so to box of stuff I might need seems pretty stupid. I’m trying to avoid having to rent a u-haul since its something my dad can easily do. He’s already done it once when I moved home from Windsor, so I’m just waiting to see how the weather is. I do have internet and cable (free for 3 months) being hooked up on the 30th and my appliances come on the 31st. My final walk through is on the 27th, so I’m getting pretty excited about that. I would love to be in by Feb 4th, but I just really don’t know.

I’m still trying to work out a budget for the new place, it’s hard since I don’t know what my power, gas and water will be, so it’s more like a guessing game right now. I’m actually not sure if I will be posting a budget or my spending recap once I move. You tell me, Is it something you would like to see? Do you want to see how much I struggle during my first year of home ownership?
I already know things will be tight and I guess thats why I’m on the fence about posting. If its something that you want to see then I will, but if no one says so then I probably won’t. I’ll keep that in a private filter perhaps.

So here’s to hoping this week is a little bit stress free and that maybe I get my car back? it’s a long shot but who knows right.
