AC and Mouse Shopping

This past week I’ve started to inquire about purchasing an Air Conditioning unit. Mostly because it was so so hot a few weeks ago. I realized that without a unit I will be utterly miserable with summer, and I will be forced to spend time at my parents place since they of course have AC.

Last week, my dad had called around to get estimates and quotes so that I can figure out how much I can afford to spend on an AC Unit. After one estimate we came to the quick realization that I can’t afford it, but I still want it. So, my AC shopping experience continued. You never know, some companies may have cheaper prices, or some great catch where I don’t have to pay for 6 months.
So far I haven’t found this to be true, which sucks. I wish it was just a simple case of needing to compare gas and electricity prices but that’s not the case. There are different models, which apparently can be installed in different locations, with different brackets which affects cost and because my breaker panel is out in the garage, electrical wiring needs to be run from there to the back of the house which adds to the cost. Apparently most breakers are located in the basement, which would have cut cost. Not really sure why my builder put the breaker panel outside, but that’s where it sits. So thus my shopping continues later this week. Thankfully it’s suppose to be in the mid 20′s this coming week so I won’t have to worry about needing the Air Conditioning Unit right away.

In other news my rocket fish mouse is starting to not work, well the right click button isn’t working and it’s discontinued, which makes me really sad, and rather difficult to use my computer. I hate using the touch pad that my laptop has because it’s just annoying to me.

Yesterday I went to best buy to get another mouse and dropped about $60 on a Microsoft mouse, only to bring it home, open it up and find out that my mac operating system is not compatible with it, even though the box says it’s compatible with mac. Apparently it’s not compatible with the updated version that I have. So I think I have no choice but to get the Mac mouse. I’m not a huge fan of it, mostly because I like having the scroll ball, but I guess I’ll get use to how the Mac mouse works in time.

P.S – What do you think of the new layout? Autum from Alwayspurrty.com designed it for me. I won a theme giveaway a few months back. I’m still tweaking things here and there, but I like it. The green colour makes me miss my bedroom back home.
