Does Your Internet Work Today?

This weekend was pretty uneventful.

Thankfully the weather has been really nice except for a mini thunderstorm that took place Saturday morning. It shocked me out of bed at 9am which I was not thankful for at all. I’m been use to getting up at 10am since I’ve been sleeping in my brothers bedroom and it’s been so nice and dark with the shades drawn. Since I was up early I ended up having a nap later in the afternoon. I had no idea surgery could totally kill me energy wise.
I ended up spending the rest of the day just hanging around my parents place doing nothing of interest. I did manage to catch up on a few side income things, so I’m happy about that since I was out of commission the days prior due to the surgery.

Sunday was a family picnic, which was interesting since I was under the no talking ban. My parents basically explained why I can’t talk to those family members who were unaware of the surgery taking place. I got a lot of sympathy but I tried to ignore the conversations and I mostly just read some books that I’ve been gifted, played around with my camera and tried to soak up some sun.

Thankfully my internet hasn’t been affected with this mass outage people have been talking about for the last few days. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, let me explain a little bit.

Apparently on July 9th; which is today, computer users worldwide could find themselves without Web access. If you are obviously reading this then it didn’t affect you. But none the less it’s something to take note. If anything it seems like a way to get people to pick up antivirus software. If that’s the case then please visit this site for Norton Internet Security. It’s the only security I’ve used in the past when I had a PC, and it did the job. Until I was hacked, anyways. That was a horrible experience. Thankfully I’ve had a Mac for the last 5 years, so I’m not too worried about running into any problems. Regardless, I don’t know anyone who’s been affected by losing their internet but it does make me slightly worried that it could happen down the road.

I have a feeling it’s going to be a quite week this week. I’m still shacking it up at my parents place and will be for the next few days. Especially since my driveway is being paved today!.
