Hi, I’m Erica. I'm a 20 something blogger from Ontario, Canada. I'm an ECE in a JK classroom, a wanna be photography, pseudo aunt, and a godmother. I still live at home with my parents, and can count on one hand the number of close friends I have. I am very gullible and shy. I prefer to keep to myself and have a hard time letting someone get close. I've owned numerous domains; this obviously being the current one. It's a place for me to vent and rant as well as a place to help me keep on track with paying off my debt and to help me get a handle on my spending. Some posts will be sponsored and some are private. Thanks for visiting!!

Tax Free Saving Account

As of tomorrow I will officially have saved $2,623.07 in my TFSA.
Add to that the $2,411.05 which is in my GIC (that I can access as of Aug 4th 2010) and I will have $5,034.12 which means I’ve met my one goal for 2010. I was able to save $5,000 and I did it with a month still to go.

Go me!

What am I going to do with the money you ask? Well.., thats a good question. I was going to save it and use it as an emergency fund, but since I still live at home I count my parents as my emergency fund (I know, that’s so bad, but whatever)so I’m going to take that $5,034 and put it on my OSAP amount that’s due. It will bring the amount from $18 thousand and some odds to about $13 thousand and some odds. My new goal is to then have it down to about $5-$7 thousand and some odds by the end of the year. I do think it’s obtainable as long as I stick to my budget.
