Yesterday was my dad’s side family picnic. We (my grandpa, my dad, sis, bro, his gf, dave and myself) all arrived by 10:30am and got to work on setting up the picnic tables, and starting on lunch. Rest of the family members started to arrive. Lunch; which was hotdogs was served right at noon and by 2pm everyone was running to get shelter from the pouring rain that totally came out of nowhere. My cousin (and her new born baby girl) made it to the pavilion in time. I on the other hand; as well as most of my other family members got soaked. I was more concerned about my Nikon and Mac Book, so I grabbed their bags as well as my cousin’s baby bags, plus my aunts purse and hid under a tree with a blanket with my sister. Dave just stood around and got soaked as did many other family members. My dad didn’t move from his chair while drinking a beer. After a few minutes it started to calm down a bit so Dave pulled off a plastic table cloth and wrapped my stuff up and we ran to join my cousin at the pavilion. My sister joined a little bit later. All my electronic stuff was safe, however sadly my sisters phone suffered major water damage. Once it stopped raining everyone started leaving. Everything was soaked and the ground was mud. All the stuff was brought back to the truck, and packed up. We all headed home to change (since we were soaking wet) and then went back to my grandparents and finished off the picnic their. It turned out to be a really great afternoon. I enjoyed spending time with family, and liked having Dave there to meet them all as well.
Next weekend if my moms side family picnic + a italian club (we belong to). I plan to spend most of my time at the water park.

Today is my day off. I have a massage appointment in about half an hr (which I need to totally head out to) and then a dentist appointment in the afternoon. I also have to meet my dad at the gym later this evening so he can set me up under his account. So much for enjoying a day off.
