I wish, I wish, I wish…

Written by Erica on January 12, 2012 – 9:04 pm -

A few days ago I left a comment on Nancy’s blog, specifically on a post regarding a Fairy Hobmother. Well because of the comment I left, I too was visited by the Fairy Hobmother and just like Nancy, I too have to talk about Washing Machines. Thankfully that’s a pretty easy topic to talk about.

I love my washing machine, well the washing machine that I’m waiting to have delivered. It won’t arrive till the 31st *fingers crossed* and It’s pretty much the same as my parents washing machine, which is a front loader. Dryers I could care less about since I’ve never really used one growing up. We line dry all our laundry.

So what did I wish for? Obviously I’m always thinking of things that I need for my house, so I tried to think outside the box a bit in regards to appliances that I’ve always wanted. My parents have a chest freezer, so I figured that would make a perfect wish. My fridge freezer isn’t all that large so what can I say, I dream big. However my wish was a little too expensive; so instead I received a generous sum to my paypal account and I’ll hopefully use it to get something nice for my house. Or I’ll just pay bills with it. That is the practical thing to do.

Would you like a visit from the Fairy Hobmother? All you need to do is leave me a comment and she might visit you.

Errands to do before a wedding

Written by Erica on August 6, 2011 – 7:00 am -

So today is my uncle and aunts wedding day, well rather this evening is. 6pm to be exact. I’m currently hanging out in some cheap hospital scrubs that my aunt who’s a nurse brought me yesterday. She knows I love wearing them because they are so comfy, so she brings them to me whenever she visits.

Right now there is no telling what sort of day today will be. All I know is that it’s going to a be a crazy, busy, fast paced day. I do hope that it does not rain thought, especially since the forecast is calling for thunderstorms. That would really suck. The wedding ceremony is outside, and there really is not a back up place other then in the dinner reception hall, which isn’t all that large. With 75 people it’s going to be a fight fit just for dinner. I cant image us all having to be in there for the ceremony as well.

Shortly, this morning I’m off to get my hair trimmed and eye brows waxed. I have a gift certificate from christmas, so I figured now is a pretty good time to take advantage of it. I’m still on the fence if I want to get bangs or not though. Right now I want bangs, but I’m not sure if they would suit my face, so I’ll ask my stylist and see what see thinks.

I should probably change out of the scrubs and into something more appropriate for the hair salon. No need to be walking around with http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/ printed on my butt. That would just be a little bit awkward.

A Start To The Long Weekend

Written by Erica on July 30, 2011 – 12:15 pm -

I figured that I would take a break from posting about my Europe vacation. The next entry is a rather large and important one so I’m still working on writing it all up. I also need to organize the photos that I want to use and I simply don’t want to rush myself. I’m trying to make all the entries the way I want them without having to worry about rewriting them later, this way when it comes time to making my scrapbook I wont have to rewrite anything; that would be rather redundant.

Instead I’ll fill you in on how I spent the start to my long weekend, because you know I always have the most exciting weekends. NOT!
So far it hasn’t really been all that interested, It’s been pretty usual, then again my weekends aren’t that much interesting anyways, so I apologize if you find this post boring. I know my Europe posts are much more interesting.

Yesterday being Friday, my sister had the morning off from work and she’s been going on and on about how she thinks she wants to get an iphone so I said I would go with her to Square One in Mississauga to the mac store so she could get one. We had to make a few unscheduled stops to a hair salon, a tanning salon, and zellers. I wanted to get all my points transfered to a gift card and it ended up being $90 worth. Thankfully we didn’t need to stop for any Boise Dentists since there aren’t any in the area. Anyways after leaving the house at 10am we finally made it out to Mississauga shortly after lunch time and my sister purchased a shiny white iphone.

Later today I have the duties of teaching her how to use it, cuz you know it’s really difficult to learn. lol

Anyways today’s been pretty uneventful. I’ve done some laundry and cleaning for my mom and once my sister gets home from work I’ll help her so maybe I’ll start working on my scrapbook and finishing up my Europe posts.

I need to throw in one more Dentist Boise link, so there ya go. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do to make some easy cash. lol

Top Five Myths Bankruptcy – #1

Written by Erica on June 18, 2011 – 9:52 pm -

As consumer debt has skyrocketed to over $3 Trillion, many believe the only way out from under the mountain of bills is to declare bankruptcy. But is it right for you? Many myths persist to misinform the public.

“Probably the worst myth about bankruptcy is that you need to be flat broke before you should file,” says Sacramento bankruptcy attorney Gerald B. Glazer. “It is not good to wait until creditors are knocking on your door,” according to Glazer. Planning can prepare you for a bankruptcy that causes the least amount of financial disruption.

Trip Brain Dump

Written by Erica on May 29, 2011 – 8:08 pm -

Yesterday evening I hung out with my brother and his friends a few towns over for one of his friends birthday. There was no waiting behind a velvet rope for us. It was nice. I forgot what it felt like to just be able to walk into a place without having to wait.
I’ve been hanging out with my brother and his friends more often now since my friends live far away and all have kids. It’s not like they can just come visit me whenever, which is okay; don’t get me wrong, but it’s nice to hang out with people close to my age and just have some fun. I especially like the fact that I don’t have to worry about any weirdoes at the bar since I’m protected by a bunch of guys.

Anyways, while hanging out with my brothers friends, one of them was telling me about how they went to Paris for New Years so we were talking about things that he’s done while he was there and I started to realize that I should probably put a little bit more effort into looking into things that I want to do while in Paris. Seeing the Eiffel Towel is pretty much the main attraction for me and I guess I haven’t really looked into it because I am a little bit worried about the lack of crowd control while visiting, since it will be smack in the middle of summer. I’m mostly worried about the panhandlers or pickpocketers. My mom’s already been to London, England and knows her way around, so I’m not as worried, but Paris, France will be new to both of us.

Since I plan to bring my Nikon D5100 I was basically lectured about making sure I keep my camera bag in front of me at all times. I’m also worried about having to stand in long lines behind barricades only to realize that it was all a waste of time. That’s why I keep going back and forth with wanting to do the London Eye. I’ve been told it can be busy at times which would require more then an hour wait, so I’m not sure if the half hour ride would be worth it in the end. I guess it all depends on what the weather is like.

Speaking of the weather, it’s raining something nasty outside, I can hear the thunder rolling in and my power is flickering so I best get off the computer for the time being.

ps. Don’t forget about my summer holiday/vacation guest post.
