Car Talk

I’m not really a car person. If you asked me anything about a car, I would probably just stare at you with a blank look on my face. I definitely would not be able to explain all the different car parts that make up a car. I’m more of a camera person, that’s something I know more about, and I like to think I can explain it pretty well. Granted I’m still learning, but it’s easier to learn about something you are interested in.

My brother on the other hand, is very much into cars. I do own my own car, but I don’t really have anything to do with it. If that makes sense? My brother is the one that looks after it. Without him I would my car would probably be junk my now. Now I’m not saying I’m a horrible driver, I just don’t know about all that maintenance stuff.

My brother on the other hand, is great with my car. He treats it like it was one of his owns. Which is nice. He looks after the oil changes, as well as the oil and filters, he also checks my other fluids and fills them if Im getting low. He even washed my car once for me. He’s that amazing. Since I know he does all this for me and my car I try not to bug him all the time with questions, especially if it’s a small question. I usually try to search the car forums first before I ask him, this way it saves him the time from having to do it.

Lazy Sunday

Today I got up around 10:00 am and decided that it would be a good day to clean out my car. I’ve had the car for 3 years and I don’t think I’ve ever cleaned the inside. It’s not that it’s very dirty or anything, but I did have Cassie’s dog in the back seat a few weeks ago so I figured it was about time to clean up the dog hair. Also my sister always likes to had her valued opinions to anything and everything and while she was getting ready for work she made a comment that the inside looks like it could use a cleaning. To bad she didn’t offer to help clean it. Since the outside was cleaned by my brother for me about 2 weeks ago, and it sort of gets cleaned whenever it rains, I didn’t really bother with that. Plus the weather network says that it’s calling for rain later today and during the week, so again no point right.

After the car was cleaned my brother did an oil change for me. He’s a great brother.

I basically cleaned up everything I had used outside while he was doing that and once I was back inside I realized that I had absolutely no clean clothes to wear for work tomorrow so I’m currently waiting on the laundry to finish. Usually if I decide to do the laundry I sort it all out and do everyones but today I just threw all my dirty laundry into one load. I’ll probably end up using the dryer since no one’s home. Plus I won’t have to deal with hanging it all in the basement and waiting a day or so for it to dry.

That’s pretty much been my lazy Sunday. I’ve been debating about going into town and getting a blizzard because for some strange reason I’ve been craving one all day. Once the laundry is dry I just might.

Keeping Busy

My parents left on Friday to go up north to the cottage that we rented this winter for snowmobiling. They have to clean it up and clean out all our belonging before the owners return next weekend. Can you believe that I left a set of scrubs up there. I guess I brought too much stuff the family day long weekend when I went up and I didn’t pay attention when I was packing everything back up.

I somewhat hate when my parents go way for the weekend because it means I’m stuck at home with my siblings. My brother is great, but my sister; well if you’ve been a long time reader then you know how she is. She still does whatever she pleases, which is basically nothing at all to keep the house clean or in order. Yesterday evening I was watching TV and she came home around 10:00 pm and basically demanded that I give her the remote so she could watch some show’s that she has saved on the PVR. Her reason was that I had been sitting on my ass all night doing nothing but watching TV so it was now her time. I basically told her that she could go wash her white nursing scrub tops that mom never washed and wait until I was done watching my show because she could watch TV. That only resulted in a giant hissy fit from her. How mature right. I’m basically use to her throwing the fits thou. It just sucks because then she does not do the chores that she’s suppose to, so I always end up doing them to keep my parents happy; which will probably end up happening. I think she’s suppose to clean the bathrooms this weekend. She did make mention of that during her fit.

I’ll probably end up cleaning the bathrooms later this evening after I make myself some dinner and research how to buy uniforms online. It’s a beautiful day outside and I’m likely going to be spending the rest of the day inside. Oh well.

March Break

Today is day 1 of March Break, however it’s day 3 of feeling like shit. I’m pretty thankful that this sickness hit this week since I’m already off work.

On Saturday I was at Cassie’s and started to feel pretty ill. I made the decision to leave and come back home thinking that all I needed was a nap. Turns out a nap didn’t help, despite having comfy bedroom furniture. However, I did nap for about 3 hrs.

I ended up spending most of Saturday evening throwing up, and I’ve just now started to feel somewhat better, however I lack energy and a desire to eat anything. I’ve been living off of toast and ginger-ale. It’s the diet of champions I tell you, and it sucks.
The weather outside looks beautiful, but I’m pretty content hanging out inside since I don’t have any plans.
Hopefully I feel better in a few days so I can visit Cassie.
