Weekly Money Check up {02/20}
Written by Erica on February 20, 2012 – 10:16 am -
1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on my mortgage. The first payment came out of my bank account and I must say I was pretty nervous about it. I was told it would be coming out on a specific date and in fact it came out on a different date so that threw me off a bit.
2. Today I am thankful for Family Day! Day off from work. Hopefully my dad wants to help decorate my house for me. I really need some laundry lines hung up in the basement and my bathroom medical cabinet put up.
3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free thing I did last week that made me happy was spend time with Cassie and her son Elliott. It was a great weekend.
4. I will consider this week a success if I pay the rest of my bills once I get paid and actually figure out where I want stuff hung. It’s time to start making this house my home even thought I still refer to my parents house as my home. That’s going to take some getting use to.
5. The last thing I ate was dipping eggs and toast. I would probably throw up if I didn’t have anything to eat in the morning

Weekly Money Check Up {02/06}

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on items I purchased for my new house. I didn’t get my spending recap up this past weekend because the receipts are all at the new house, and I’m at my parents place till this evening. I’m planning on moving the last of my stuff over after work. Then maybe picking up some groceries since I have next to nothing to eat.
2. Today I am thankful that in a few months I could have a part time job. I’m dropping off a resume today and it looks to be pretty promising.
3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free thing I did last week that made me happy was show my new place to my Nonna. I took her grocery shopping on Saturday and we stopped in so I could drop off some items I had picked up.
4. I will consider this week a success if I don’t fall apart due to stress. I’ve been dealing with an issue and I’m waiting to hear back from the company, so it’s causing me some stress.
5. 5. I can’t start my day without breakfast. I would probably throw up if I didn’t have anything to eat in the morning

Wordless Wednesday {Townhouse Edition}
Written by Erica on January 25, 2012 – 7:50 am -
Friday @ 3pm is my Home Inspection. I finally get to see the kitchen, which I’ve been dying to see since the builder sent me a post card back in december stating it was installed when it in fact was not.

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on Car Insurance. It’s gone up quite a bit now that I will be living on my own. OUCH!
2. Today I am thankful that today is a PD Day at work. I get to learn how to do report cards. I have the best teaching partner ever!
3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free thing I did last week that made me happy was visit with my cousin, her husband and their almost 2 year old daughter. They live in the states and came to visit our grandparents, so I went over for dinner to show them house stuff.
4. I will consider this week a success if I don’t spend any money, except for paying my master card and cell phone bills.
5. The craft I am currently interested in right now is the craft of not spending money. Seriously, I don’t have any to spend, but I have so many things to buy. lol

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on makeup. I decided to purchase some of the makeup that was used on my for New years eve.
2. Today I am thankful to be going back to work. I’ve been so bored.
3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free thing I did last week that made me happy was spending time watching movies with my mom and learning to making Gnocchi with my Nonna.
4. I will consider this week a success if I cross off everything on my todo list. It’s insane. I have to call to figure out my benefits for work, and life insurance stuff.
5. If I could change one thing about my home I would change the staircase. The builder gave me the upgraded staircase and while I’m grateful that it’s at no cost to me, I’m not a fan of how it looks. I preferred round spindles, not square.
