Wordless Wednesday {My Back Deck}

At the beginning of the week I arrived home to a notice on my front door. The notice was informing me that my back deck would be completed by the end of this week. As of yesterday evening it looked like this.

Pretty much the only thing missing are some stairs. Then I think I’m going to have my dad come in and close up under the deck so I can use it as a storage area for my lawn mower, water hose and anything else I wanna put back there.

I’m not sure when I will be receiving grass, however I have no plans to build a fence. As mean as it is, I will let my neighbours take care of that.

Weekly Money Check Up {05/14}

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on Gas. Not counting my mortgage payment since that it’s automatically taken out of my bank account every other week.

2. Today I am thankful for making money this weekend. I’m saving up all the extra cash I make this summer so that I don’t have to dip into my savings account.

3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free thing I did last week that made me happy was go out on a date. I’m not going to post much about it, but it was a good date. I found myself enjoying it more then I originally thought I would and I honestly can’t wait to see him again. From the sounds of things (a text this morning) he can’t wait as well.

4. I will consider this week a success if I clean my house. I will admit it hasn’t been done since my aunt and uncle came for a visit 3 weeks ago. Good thing it doesn’t get really dirty.

5. My favorite Disney character is Belle. My sister was into Ariel and I was into Belle. Can’t really give a reason as to why thou.

Fill In The Blanks Friday

1. On a scale from 1-10 the frequency with which I get sick is, about a 5. I work with kids so It can’t be helped.

2. The last time I felt sick was several weeks ago. Although with the lack of a voice every just assumes I’m sick.

3. The worst part about being sick is having to still go into work and deal with just life in general. If I’m really sick then I will call out of work, but I can’t really afford to lose days off.

4. When I am sick I like to be taken care of by just sleeping it off. I live alone now, so there isn’t anyone here to take care of me. Granted my mom will stop in to check up on me, but thats about all.

5. Something I do to keep myself healthy is wash my hands after using the washroom, and blowing the kids noses and stuff like that. I use to take some vitamins in the morning, but I haven’t lately.

6. A secret remedy that I use when I’m sick is to drug myself up with cold meds, drink lots of liquids and sleep it off. Seems to work.

7. One thing that always makes me feel better when I’m sick is sleeping.

Ps. I have a date this evening….From our texting conversations over the last few days I would say this boy is totally smitten with me already. It’s cute.

Weekly Money Check Up {05/07}

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on my utilities, since I’m not counting my iPad purchase. Yes I bought an iPad. I will be doing a post on it later in the week cuz I actually haven’t used it much. I’m waiting for my brother to put a screen protector onto it cuz I’m paranoid I’ll scratch the screen somehow.

2. Today I am thankful for obtaining a part time babysitting job. It probably won’t be very often, but maybe I’ll make a friend out of the young mother.

3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free thing I did last week that made me happy was spend time with my momma at a fashion show she was a model in. Being a dresser is insanly stressful but fun.

4. I will consider this week a success if I go to the gym at least 3 times this week. I went today, so 1 day down, 2 to go.

5. The most delicious things I ate all week was home made cabbage rolls I had for dinner yesterday. Yummy!

Weekly Money Check Up {04/30}

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on Gas for my car, since I’m not counting my Mortgage payment. Speaking of money; my Weekly Spending Recap will be up later this evening since today is the end of the month.

2. Today I am thankful for being able to spend the weekend with my entire family. We celebrated my grandmothers 80th birthday, my grandfathers 85th birthday and their 61st wedding anniversary.

3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free thing I did last week that made me happy was have family visit my new place.

4. I will consider this week a success if I make it to the gym. I weighted myself this morning and I gained 3 pounds. I blame it on all the good food from this past weekend. So I need to lose the weight by the end of this week, which I think is doable.

5. If I could redecorate one room, I would choose the family room. I technically haven’t even really decorated it so I’ll stick with that answer.
