Awkward and Awesome {10/20}

Awesome

Today was Pay Day; that in it’s self is awesome
Today was a Medical Day and I managed to get a lot of stuff done.
The Vest that I was waiting for to come in at Ricki’s came in and it fits, so I purchased it as well as two shirts. I think I look pretty cute in it and plan to wear it tomorrow for Photo Day.

Taking a whole day off for a doctors appointment and getting no results. At least I don’t have Asthma. That’s a good thing. Guess I wait for the scope next Friday.
Trying out different nail polish on my nails while in Shoppers and getting told that since I opened them all I now need to purchase them..yeah, I don’t think so.

3 day work weeks. I was off Monday due to a Holiday, and Tuesday I had a medical appointment so today is technically the second day of my work week, and tomorrow is Friday. Not to bad, if you ask me. Also I’m at a work shop this morning, so techincally I’m only working a half day today.
Avon’s return policy. Last week I purchased some eye shadow from Avon. It was the true color shadow stick. I purchased it in 2 colors. One was Purple Lapis, the other Pink Ruby. After using the Purple Lapis I’ve decided to return both. Within 5 mins of wear they had creased on my eye lid.
The beautiful weather that Southern Ontario had been blessed with last week. This week, it’s not so nice, fog and rain.

Having to write a note back to a parent because the cheque they sent with their scholastic order was short.
Taking a whole day off for an appointment that lasted less then 5 mins. Oh well.
Not being able to talk much while a Supply Teacher is working with me in the room.

Last Friday I tried to make a Sock Bun. It worked out pretty well I think. Since then I’ve worn it over the weekend and at least twice during this week.

I made a payment to my OSAP over the weekend so my current balance owing is $1,032.85. It’s almost gone. By this time next month it will be totally gone. I can’t wait!
Today was Out of Uniform day for the kiddies, which means I got to dress down as well.
Tomorrow is a Professional Development {P.D} Day which means no kids at work and another dress down day.

Working with a supply on Monday and totally losing my voice. Oops. It’s been happening more often now and I’m starting to get really concerned.
Being able to see the sock from my Sock Bun in my hair by mid afternoon. With some minor readjusting it was hidden again. Guess I need to grow my hair a bit longer for it to work correctly
Forgetting that my Lunch hour changed from 12:45pm to 12:30pm today, so I lost 15 mins.

I’m going to start with the Awesome first.

Today is pay day; and my pay cheque was way larger then I thought it would be. I hope it’s because I received a raise. I may be able to put more money onto my OSAP this month. This excites me to no end. lol
I received a call yesterday regarding my specialist appointment. It’s Oct 25th 2011 @ 1:45. I thought I was going to have to wait into the new year to be seen so this is wonderful
I have over $200 in Scholastic money, so I’m going to go shopping and purchase some books I can use when my teaching partner retires. I think either this year, or next year is her last year *sad*

Awkward

I’m still lacking in a voice, so it makes talking somewhat difficult
My TV only gets 3 channels now. CTV, CHCH and Global. I’m hoping if I invest in a better antenna I will be able to get more channels. This whole change to Digital TV sucks.
Not knowing how to dress for the weather. Since I’m outside a lot now. Today I will be outside 3 times. (8:40-9:30, 11:00-12:00, 12:15-12:45) I never know how to dress for the weather since it’s soo different at school from where I live.

Awesome …

I heard back from Blaine (who’s he you ask?.. just someone I’ve been texting for like ever it seems). He’s been sick so that’s why he’s been MIA. Maybe we will finally meet up soon.

Awkward …

I think I have strep throat. Went to the doctor this evening but they said I don’t and took a swab they did however give me a referral for a throat specialist. Apparently my raspy voice is something to be concerned about. Ooops.
I made a little office in the back room of the classroom and found out today that I have to take it down and move it due to fire codes
