Weekly Money Check Up

Weekly Money Check Up {08/20}

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on a massage appointment which will be reimbursed from my benefits

2. Today I am thankful for not having to work. I’m beyond exhausted and I’m not sure why. I tried to nap today, but there was road construction going on so it was pretty difficult to have a nap.

3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free thing I did last week that made me happy was finish reading 1 of the 4 novels I picked up from the library. I still have 3 to get thru before I return them.

4. I will consider this week a success if I receive my test results tomorrow from surgery I had over a month ago.

5. This time of year makes me wish I lived in the states. Today was their first date of school and seriously, summer vacation just dragged this year for me. It’s such a long time when you have nothing to do. I had hopes that this would be a good summer, but I didn’t really do anything. Oh well.

Weekly Money Check Up {08/13}

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on sunglasses.

2. Today I am thankful for my parents living so close. I drove up to their place today to work. It’s so lonely at my place, but hopefully that will all chance soon.

3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free thing I did last week that made me happy was vacuume my parents place and do the laundry for them.

4. I will consider this week a success if I make it to the gym daily, and finish reading 1 book.

5. The last thing I won was a Nikon D3100 Camera body back in 2010. I ended up trading it in for a Nikon SB900 Flash.

Weekly Money Check Up {08/06}

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on my mortgage. Those payments just seem to sneak up on me.

2. Today I am thankful for the date from hell yesterday. (I will blog about it soon) I now know that my gut instinct about a person is right, and I should totally trust it.

3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free thing I did last week that made me happy was read a book. I actually took time out of my (not so busy) day to read. It felt nice.

4. I will consider this week a success if I make it to the library, go to the gym every day (except today), babysit the 2 days I’m scheduled to and go out on a date.

5. I am trying to incorporate more cooking in my diet. I know, how lame that sounds, but seriously. I hate to cook. The inside of my stove has not been used ever!

Weekly Money Check Up {07/30}

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on clothing. I ripped one of my tank tops and I’ve been trying to juggle wearing 2 bras, so I decided to pick up some new items and caught an amazing deal on a top and dress.

2. Today I am thankful for a low key Monday.

3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free thing I did last week that made me happy was go to my aunts in the united states on sunday with my sister, brother and his girlfriend.

4. I will consider this week a success if I actually babysit. The last few days have been cancelled due to the mom’s work shifts being cancelled.

5. This summer so far has been shit. I’ve had throat surgery, didn’t get any results, and wasted 4 weeks texting with someone who ultimately had no interest in me. I can’t wait to see what August has in store.

Weekly Money Check up {07/23}

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on my Air Conditioning unit. I only had $600 saved up in my TFSA so I emptied it to front what I could. Starting in September when I have regular income I will pay my parents back the rest. Speaking of income..I’m still waiting on Employment Insurance. Ugh!

2. Today I am thankful for my Air Conditioning Unit. It’s soooo nice to have a cool house when outside it’s hot and muggy.

3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free cheap thing I did last week that made me happy was go to the races with my brother and his friends. I use to love going when I was a kid and since the date fell thru my brother was nice enough to include me.

4. I will consider this week a success if I make it to the gym every day. I figure if I go to the morning and get it out of the way it’s already done. Plus I really don’t have much else to do other then make a trip to my parents and clean their house.

I am most looking forward to the opening ceremonies in the Olympics.I don’t really watch anything else, plus I still don’t have TV.
