Windstorm 2010

Today made history in the Hamilton, Niagara and St Catharins area thanks to the windstorm that we had. Schools were closed due to no power (which resulted in me only working till noon) and roof were ripped off. The Skyway and Garden City Skyway bridges were closed as well as the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge and even the Welland Canal. It was a mess out there.

In other news, April marks a full year since I’ve started paying off my OSAP.
On April 15 2010 my parents used their Line of Credit to pay off my entire OSAP debt, thus saving me from having to pay a bundle in interest, and I started paying them back. Of of today I owe $6,362.90 which means in the year that I’ve been paying it off I’ve paid off $13,637.10. I think that’s pretty damn impressive. I’ve already surpassed the goal I had set for July 1st and I’m pretty sure if I keep on pace I will have my OSAP paid off well before Jan 31st 2012.
